Hello my name is Stryder (not legal but name I've been known by since 12 years old. NA/biker 'adult' name.)

I'm 35 and think that's amazing since I wasn't supposed to live past 16.
I have two 'adult' children that don't live with me. My oldest is 18 my youngest will be 14 (adult in her country), at the end of Aug.
I have Merosin's Muscular Dystrophy, but my mind works super fine. I'm both book smart and highly creative.
I chose my profile picture because I look adorkable in it and that makes me smile.

I found this website looking for a place with single Asian men because I'm more attracted to my mothers people than my fathers. (Aleut, kind of amusing, supposedly we're Mongols that crossed the land bridge and settled on our islands, but genetically we're Chinese, though mom says probably just as much Japanese since our southern most islands and their northern most islands have always traded.)

Biggest pet peeve; being told I pass for white, like being white is like an A+ on a test. I'm not ashamed of my white father, but I'm proud of being mixed race.

I'm starting as a Junior at Concordia St. Paul in Minnesota at the end of the month, pursuing my BS in English as a Second Language and Communication Education (two degrees.) I recently finished my AS in Creative Writing. I've been a published Science Fiction and Fantasy Author under the pen name Stryder Dancewolffe for over a decade and recently used the name Willow Malutin as well. I have six finished novels and am working on finishing more. I do content editing for Henchman Press.

I'm choosing these degrees in part because I like the travel options, but also I can relate to learning a new language, especially as an adult. At 20 I moved to Denmark where I married a long time gaming friend and had that younger daughter I mentioned above. I learned Danish while living in Denmark. Home or abroad I think my experience will let me be better able to relate to my students. I'd also like to teach creative writing. Both here in the US and abroad. With the advent of self-publishing through Amazon, there's an opportunity to get away from only telling one type of story and it will be interesting to see more writers share their views of the world through their work.

I hope to make many new friends here. It would be nice to meet that special someone, but expect me to stick around either way. I'm happy my search engine pointed me here, I'm already enjoying reading the forums.
